Cleveland, Ohio – March 4, 2026 – Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (CLE) is reopening its food pantry to support our federal partners during the ongoing government shutdown.

The pantry is intended to assist employees who are currently working without pay, providing access to household essentials and food for themselves and their families.

Today at 1:30 p.m., Megan O’Connell, Assistant Director of Marketing, Communications, and Guest Experience, will be available for media interviews at the Central Checkpoint on Ticketing.

Anyone wishing to donate can drop off items at the Information Counter on ticketing between 4 a.m. and 8 p.m. Please do not leave cars unattended on the roadway to bring items inside. Utilize the 30 minutes of free parking in our Smart Parking Garage or have a passenger assist the driver with dropping items off.

Items needed include:

  • Gift cards in $10 denominations for gas or groceries (please no larger amounts, to help us distribute the cards among multiple individuals)
  • Non-perishable food items such as pasta, macaroni and cheese, peanut butter, instant mashed potatoes, canned goods, cereal, and baby food
  • Household items such as cleaner, toilet paper, paper towels, and laundry detergent
