American Airlines Expands New York LaGuardia and Washington Reagan Service Routes at CLE

American Airlines (AA) is adding new flights to their New York LaGuardia (LGA) and Washington Reagan (DCA) routes starting in June. 

“We are especially pleased that American is not only growing at CLE but adding seats to two critical markets: New York LaGuardia and Washington Reagan National, for Cleveland area travelers,” said Airport Director Robert Kennedy. 

Service to DCA will go from 3 times daily to 4 times daily and three of the four flights will have larger aircraft going from a 44 seat ERJ-140 to 76 seat E-175’s and CRJ-700’s with first class seating. This increase will add 150 seats per day on average to DCA. The LGA service will also have an up gauge in aircraft going from 44 seat ERJ-140s to 76 seat E-175’s with first class seating. This increase will also add 150 seats per day on average to LGA. 

“Cleveland and Northeast Ohio have always been important to American. With the continued growth in the region, the decision to add and enhance our Cleveland service was obvious,” said Jason Reisinger, American’s Managing Director of Network Planning. 

The new service will begin on June 4th, 2020. Flights for LGA are already available on AA’s website, flights to DCA will be available starting February 8th, 2020.
