Spot the Signs of Human Trafficking
Traffickers often hide their crimes, but some warning signs can help identify a potential victim. Individuals may:
- Have few or no personal belongings
- Lack knowledge of their travel plans or destination
- Seem closely watched, controlled, or defer conversations to someone else
- Have ID, passport, or travel documents held by someone else
- Show fear of uniformed security or police
- Appear unusually fearful or anxious in public
- Exhibit signs of physical harm or neglect
- Be threatened, coerced, or exploited for labor or sexual services against their will
Where to Get Help
