Hopkins Hangout Passes may be used starting on August 11, 2025. Beginning August 6, 2025, you may submit a digital application as early as seven (7) days but no later than one (1) day before your planned visit. Please review the Hopkins Hangout Pass Terms of Use and Frequently Asked Questions before you apply.
All Hangout Pass participants must submit an application. Applications for minors under the age of 18 must list an adult over 18 who is also applying for a Hangout Pass. Each approved adult may escort up to three (3) minors who must be under their supervision at all times during their visit.
All applications require the following information: first and last name (as it appears on your government-issued ID), gender, date of birth, email, and reason for your visit. Once your application has been submitted, you will receive an email confirming receipt of your request.
Once approved, you will receive your digital Hopkins Hangout Pass via email. On the day of your visit, use your Hangout Pass, along with your ID or passport, for entry at either the North or South security checkpoints using the general boarding lanes. Please note that you may only enter through the Central TSA checkpoint if both the North and South checkpoints are closed.
Your Hangout Pass is valid for one-time use between 7 a.m. and 10 p.m. on the day of your visit only. All applications are subject to TSA review and approval. TSA reserves the right to deny any application. Hangout Passes may not be used for commercial filming or to capture news footage. Learn more in our Media Guidelines.
On the day of your visit, arrive at either the North or South TSA checkpoints with your digital Hopkins Hangout Pass and either your ID or U.S. passport for entry. Those with a Hangout Pass are not permitted to enter through Pre-Check or CLEAR lanes, and may only enter through the Central TSA checkpoint if both the North and South checkpoints are closed.
Hangout Pass participants are permitted to bring no more than one (1) personal item such as a purse, small bag, or briefcase. All items are subject to TSA screening.
Hangout Pass participants are subject to the same security regulations as ticketed passengers. Please review all security reminders before your visit to help ensure you receive access to the secure side of our terminal.
