Travelers enrolled in TSA PreCheck can now experience an even faster and more convenient security screening process at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (CLE) with the launch of TSA PreCheck Touchless ID.
This new service uses secure facial recognition technology to verify a traveler’s identity, eliminating the need to present physical identification at the checkpoint. TSA PreCheck Touchless ID is available exclusively to TSA PreCheck travelers flying with participating airlines.
Here’s How It Works
Passengers who opt in can follow signs to the dedicated TSA PreCheck Touchless ID lane and simply use their face as their ID. This streamlined process speeds up screening while maintaining the highest standards of security and privacy. Photos are deleted after use and are never shared or used for law enforcement or surveillance.
TSA officials recommend bringing a physical ID as a back-up. Even those who opt in to the TSA PreCheck Touchless ID program must carry a REAL ID-compliant physical form of acceptable identification and present it if asked by a TSA officer.

- Active airline profile with a participating airline
- Current TSA PreCheck traveler
- Valid passport holder

- Enter your valid Known Traveler Number (KTN)
- Enter a valid passport number and country
- Select “OPT IN” on your profile or at check-in
