Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (CLE) welcomed 782,151 passengers in December, a 3 percent decrease compared to the same period last year.  For the full year, CLE served 10,003,833 passengers, representing a 1.67 percent decrease year over year.
Several factors contributed to the small decline in traffic, including the extended government shutdown and multiple instances of inclement weather impacting flight activity. Looking ahead, CLE anticipates a stable and consistent year in 2026, supported by the start of new air service, including:

•    American Airlines additional frequencies to Chicago (ORD) beginning February 12
•    JetBlue new daily service to New York City (JFK) beginning March 30
•    American Airlines new daily service to Los Angeles (LAX) beginning April 7
•    Air Canada new daily seasonal service to Montreal (YUL) beginning May 1
•    United Airlines additional frequencies to Chicago (ORD) beginning April 30

CLE continues to be the airport of choice for Northeast Ohio residents and visitors, representing more than 90 percent of the region’s annual passenger activity.  The additional air service launching this year further strengthens our ability to connect residents to the destinations they want to reach.
