Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (CLE) has installed another exhibit titled “Head2Head” by Milan Kecman in the Stephanie Tubbs Jones Art Gallery. The exhibit features 22 original images on canvas of paired faces of prominent personalities from the past giving the illusion of one person.

Kecman is an illustrator and graduate of Cleveland Institute of Art. He has worked as a graphic designer and art director. Kecman now devotes his time to exploring new creative directions. In addition to taking on commissioned art projects, he also participates in public art projects including United Way’s “Guitarmania,” and St. Clair Superior Development Corporations mural projects. His work has been exhibited throughout Northeast Ohio and has received many accolades.

Kecman is an active member of The Northern Ohio Illustrators Society (NOIS) having served as vice president for a number of years. In addition to NOIS he is also a member of various community art groups in the Northeast Ohio region. “Head2Head” debuted at Bayarts in Bay Village in 2015. Since then, the exhibit has traveled throughout Northeast Ohio.

The exhibit will be on display until July 13, 2018. An opening reception is scheduled for 4 p.m. Thursday, May 24, in the Stephanie Tubbs Jones Art Gallery. “Head2Head” is a part of the Stephanie Tubbs Jones Featured Artists Series. The Featured Artists Series is a new series that features the diversity of Northeast Ohio’s artists ranging from seasoned professionals to emerging artists who have great potential but have yet to be significantly recognized.

This endeavor is an extension of the CLE Temporary Art Exhibition Program. The program was created to showcase the diversity of arts and culture of North East Ohio. Museums, cultural institutions, arts organizations as well as individual artists are afforded opportunities to exhibit their collections of original artwork and photography in the airport.
