Starting tomorrow, mothers flying through Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (CLE) will have a quiet, private location to breastfeed or pump for those moms who prefer solitude when breastfeeding or pumping. The newly installed Mother’s Room provides seating, electric, a sink and privacy.

The room, centrally located across from B1, is the first of its kind at CLE.

CLE was honored to work with local members of La Leche League Ohio and Lactation Specialists from the Cleveland Clinic to ensure that all of the needs a mother could need were met in this new room.

"We are grateful for the opportunity to share our expertise with the team at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport," said Coe Bell, RN, lactation specialist at Cleveland Clinic. "The Mother's Room will make a difference in the lives of so many traveling mothers and their babies."

The Mother’s Room is equipped with two separate rooms and also has a common area for well-behaved children to sit and wait. Each part of the room has comfortable seating and an outlet. A sink and changing table are located in the common area of the suite.

To ensure privacy, the outside of the suite is monitored by security camera and moms wishing to enter simply dial Operations using our adjacent courtesy phone. Operations will then check the camera before granting entrance to ensure the room is only used for its purpose.
