Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (CLE) continues to sanitize and disinfect high traffic areas at the airport multiple times daily. Airport staff has developed and deployed sprayers that apply product in an effort to rapidly sanitize and disinfect large and high traffic areas at the Airport. CLE has installed shields at our information counter and police podiums. To assist our guests with social distancing, stickers have been placed around the facility to remind everyone to stay 6 feet apart. CLE has also designated line overflow locations on ticketing to maintain social distancing at peak travel times.
The Brown Lot is closed at this time. Curbside Valet is also temporarily closed.
*The Airport will begin charging for parking as of June 1, 2020. Rates remain the same, anyone (customers) who parks in the lot prior to June 1st will not be charged for the term of their parking, anyone parking in Airport lots as of June 1st will be charged the daily rate.
The City of Cleveland and Airlines Require Face Coverings
The Mayor of Cleveland has mandated that masks be worn in public in the City of Cleveland, which includes the airport. Read the full ordinance here.

TSA Screening Location
Due to increased passenger loads in July, effective Wednesday July 1, 2020, South checkpoint will close at 8:30pm.
Effective Sunday July 26, 2020, CLE will operate South and Central Checkpoints all day and North Checkpoint as needed. Central Checkpoint will continue to be a TSA Pre-Check only Checkpoint.
*Please note it’s still important to arrive early for your flight.
While the Travelex stores are temporarily closed, Travelex has a foreign currency ATM outside the MT-290 store just inside the South TSA checkpoint. The currencies that can be purchased from this ATM are:
- European Euros
- British Pounds
- Canadian Dollars
- Mexican Pesos.
·Additionally, foreign currency can be procured on the Travelex website for next day home delivery at: www.travelex.com

Protecting our People
Our passengers, partners and employees are our main priority, to that end we’ve instituted the following measures in order to ensure everyone’s safety traveling, working and visiting CLE. Installed extra hand sanitizing stations have been added throughout the airport Increased frequency of cleaning efforts to disinfect restrooms, surfaces throughout the airport and other public areas with cleaning products intended to kill germs. Increased overhead announcements sharing social distancing and steps for recommended hygiene and hand washing are played throughout the terminals. Non-essential staff is working from home to avoid unnecessary exposure while reducing the overall number of people required to come to the airport on a daily basis.
