Youth Call for Artists: The Next 100 Years of Flight
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
There is no cost to participate as a youth artist.
CLE Temporary Art Exhibition Program is calling on all Northeast Ohio young and aspiring artists for their upcoming juried art exhibition entitled “The Next 100 Years of Flight.” All public and private school students, youth groups and individual youth artists are invited to submit twodimensional (2D) artwork for consideration for exhibition.
Age Groups:
Junior Category Group I: Age 6-10
Intermediate Category Group II: Age 11-14
Senior Category Group III: Age 15-18
Youth artists interested in submitting must complete the entry form and submit any digital/original samples by:

All student artists must complete the online application below.
Teachers: If you are submitting on behalf of your student(s), please complete the form below and provide your contact information under "applicant's contact information."
Theme: The Next 100 Years of Flight - All young innovators are asked to let your imaginations fly and explore the ways how air travel will look in the 22nd century. Where will we travel, fly in, or fly too? Let your creativity soar and submit your original art by the deadline.
All mediums of two-dimensional artwork are encouraged. Paintings: oil, acrylics, watercolor, etc.; Drawings: colored pencil, pencil, ink, marker, pastels, charcoal (charcoal and pastel drawings must be sprayed to prevent smearing.); Prints: lithographs, silkscreen, block prints; Mixed Media: use of more than two mediums such as pencil, ink, watercolor, etc.; Computer-generated art; Photographs
Upload up to 5 images of two-dimensional artwork only. All artwork must be original creative artwork by the artist. Because the contest encourages individual creativity, help from another person(s) is not permitted.Only electronic submittals will be accepted.
Exhibition Dates: May 1, 2023 – April 30, 2024
IMPORTANT: Jpeg files must be named as follows: Artist Last Name_Title of Art. For example Smith_MyArt.JPG. Images not entitled as stated above will be disqualified and not accepted. The Youth Art Program receives many submittals and un-named entries are difficult to identify and will not be considered.
All submitted artwork must be ready for display. If the artwork is on stretched canvas, the bars must be removed. Kraft paper, canvas paper/panels, lightweight cardboard or panels are some materials that are acceptable. Wood, cradled hardboard panels or any other hard type unframeable surface are no longer accepted. Minimum size of artwork is 11" x 14". Paper, cardstock, etc. minimum size is 11" x 14" and cannot exceed 25" x 25". Please do not mat or border artwork. The Airport will frame and mat work for exhibition.
Artwork that does not meet size limitations or specifications will be disqualified before judging.
Entries that do not comply with the submission guidelines or rules will not be accepted for review.
