COVID-19 Update

Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (CLE) continues to sanitize and disinfect high traffic areas at the airport multiple times daily. Airport staff has developed and deployed sprayers that apply product in an effort to rapidly sanitize and disinfect large and high traffic areas at the Airport. CLE has installed shields at our information counter and police podiums. To assist our guests with social distancing, stickers have been placed around the facility to remind everyone to stay 6 feet apart. CLE has also designated line overflow locations on ticketing to maintain social distancing at peak travel times.

 

Statement regarding face mask use on public transportation
Due to the ourt ruling on Monday, April 18th, 2022, effective immediately, TSA will no longer enforce its Security Directives and Emergency Amendment requiring mask use on public transportation and transportation hubs. TSA will also rescind the new Security Directives that were scheduled to take effect tomorrow. CDC continues to recommend that people wear masks in indoor public transportation settings at this time.

 

TSA Screening Location

CLE will operate South and Central Checkpoints all day and North Checkpoint as needed. Central Checkpoint will continue to be a TSA Pre-Check only Checkpoint.

Central Checkpoint Hours: 4:00AM - 10:00PM
South Checkpoint Hours: 3:15AM - 7:15PM
North Checkpoint Hours: 4:00AM - 8:15PM

*Please note it’s still important to arrive early for your flight.

COVID-19 Testing at the airport is voluntary, and not required by Cleveland Hopkins International Airport. More information on the TACKL Health program is available here.

Protecting our People

Our passengers, partners and employees are our main priority, to that end we’ve instituted the following measures in order to ensure everyone’s safety traveling, working and visiting CLE. Installed extra hand sanitizing stations have been added throughout the airport Increased frequency of cleaning efforts to disinfect restrooms, surfaces throughout the airport and other public areas with cleaning products intended to kill germs. Increased overhead announcements sharing social distancing and steps for recommended hygiene and hand washing are played throughout the terminals.
