Security Tips

Passengers should, at all times, maintain continuous control of their carry-on baggage, briefcases, purses and other personal items.

Personal items should never be left unattended as they could be subject to tampering or theft.

Passengers should not carry or transport any items or baggage for any other person, especially persons unknown to them.

Passengers should immediately report any unattended baggage, briefcases, purses or other items to the Airport Unit of the Cleveland Police Department on any white courtesy telephone by dialing 6055. Passengers should also report any suspicious activity to the Airport Unit of the Cleveland Police Department on any white courtesy telephone by dialing 6055.

While at the airport or on airport property, passengers should never make jokes about security, including comments about having a bomb or a firearm on their person or in their luggage. Airport personnel are trained to take all such comments as serious threats and they will immediately report such threats to the Airport Unit of the Cleveland Police Department. Such activity may result in civil and criminal penalties being levied against a person making such comments.
