Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) staffs an Air Traffic Control facility at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (CLE). This facility handles the controlled movement of airborne aircraft and ground traffic at CLE. In addition, the same facility also handles the controlled movement of airborne aircraft for all other airports that fall within a forty nautical mile radius of CLE, the two busiest of which are Cleveland Burke Lakefront Airport (BKL) and Cuyahoga County Airport.
The portion of the facility that is responsible for the handling of aircraft movement is staffed twenty-four hours per day, seven days a week. The administrative offices are staffed Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. (EST).
For additional information about the FAA Air Traffic Control facility at CLE, please visit the FAA website at
http://www.faa.gov/
or contact the CLE facility at 1.216.898.2020 during administrative office hours.
