PUBLIC COMMENT RELATED TO PASSENGER FACILITY CHARGE AMENDMENT APPLICATION
The City of Cleveland, Department of Port Control (The Department) is providing an opportunity for public comment until
June 18, 2014 related to the proposed amendment to Passenger Facility Charge (PFC) Application # 11-11-C-00-CLE for Cleveland Hopkins International Airport. This written notice is provided in accordance with requirements contained in Federal Aviation Regulation 49CFR Part 158.24 Passenger Facility Charge.
The Department received approval from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to "impose and use" PFCs for 13 projects and partial approval for one (1) project at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport on March 11, 2011. The Department is proposing to amend application # 11-11-C-00-CLE to account for financing and interest costs. Project scopes (e.g. project titles/descriptions) are not being amended. PFC Application 11-11-C-00-CLE, as amended, will convert all projects in the application from "Pay as you go" status to "Bond Capital and Bond Financing and Interest." The proposed amendment will increase the collection authority by approximately $36.0 million which represents the remaining eligible and approved, bond principal and interest costs associated with funding projects in the application.
