Aviation Industry Recognizes Cleveland Hopkins for Mobile Website and Television Advertising

Cleveland, June 10, 2013 – Airports Council International – North America (ACI-NA) has recognized Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (CLE) for its marketing and advertising efforts in 2012. ACI-NA recognized CLE for its new mobile site and television advertising program during the 2013 Excellence in Marketing and Communications Contest in Atlanta, GA.

“We are honored to receive recognition from our peers,” said Airport Director Ricky Smith. “We have a strong marketing and advertising program and we have proven time and again, we are a leader in the aviation industry.”

ACI-NA awarded CLE 2nd Place in the Mobile Website category and 3rd place for Television Advertising category for its basketball-themed TV spot which aired during Cleveland Cavalier games. 

CLE was one of nearly 50 airports and airport authorities in the U.S. and Canada that submitted 245 entries into the marketing and advertising contest hosted by ACI-NA. The contest encompasses categories that recognize work in marketing and public relations, and provides airports the opportunity to be honored for the quality of their work. Awards were distributed in 20 categories ranging from brochures, advertising, marketing and public relations campaigns, social media campaigns, newsletters, special events, and video and film production. 

Award winners were recognized in June in Atlanta, GA at the 2013 Marketing and Communications Conference and JumpStart Air Development Program which CLE hosted in 2011.
